Carsen Medical, Inc. Announces Canadian Availability of Medivators Advantage™ Plus Automated Endoscope Reprocessor
Industry-Leading Endoscope Reprocessor now available with single-use Peracetic Acid.
Markham, ON February 9, 2009 – Carsen Medical Inc., has announced the immediate availability of the Medivators Advantage™ Plus Automated Endoscope Reprocessor (AER) featuring single use Rapicide PA Peracetic Acid . The Advantage from Medivators is engineered to provide a safe and predictable high- level disinfection of flexible endoscopes and now gives healthcare workers the option of using Glutaraldehyde or single-shot Percedic Acid as the biocidal agent.
The Medivators Advantage system is a sophisticated yet simple to use device that delivers a reprocessed endoscope safely and predictably in 30 minutes. The device features two fully automatic and independent reprocessing basins designed with simple touchpad controls, hands-free lid operation and powerful PC-based tracking and diagnostic tools.
The system features continuous monitoring of individual endoscope channels for valid hook-up connection and blockage detection, automated detergent and alcohol flush, and continuous endoscope leak testing. The sloped front and hands-free lid operation makes loading and unloading scopes simple and the clear lid makes visual inspection mid-cycle possible.

Rapicide PA Peracetic Acid is rated to perform High-Level Disinfection in 5 minutes and a full disinfection cycle with rinse is achieved in 30 minutes. Since Rapicide PA is affective at 30°C, the disinfection process is less harmful to endoscopes and does not require that scopes need to cool before use. The sealed basins and single- dose design virtually eliminates staff exposure and the 15 second test strip provides quick feedback regarding chemical efficacy.
